KW Phase Array Radar Jamming System
C, X, Ku, K, Ka and V band

An Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) is a microprocessor-controlled dynamic phased array antenna system in which a targeted beam of radio waves can be electronically aimed without physically moving the antenna. In an AESA, each antenna element is connected to a compact solid-state transmit/receive module (TRM) under the control of a central computer. This approach is far superior to a passive electronically scanned array (PESA), in which all antenna elements are connected to a single transmitter and/or receiver through phase shifters under the control of the computer. AESA's main use is in radar, otherwise known as active phased array radar (APAR).

RF-Lambda has developed ultra wide band KW 6-18GHz 4x4, 8x8 and 16x16 phased array radar jamming matrices based on its chip-on-wire components.
RF Lambda’s vast capability and experience with ultra wide band RF technologies combined with an internally developed control algorithm results a very compact high performance end to end solution.

Within the Phased Array System, the following functions are included:

  • Digital Step Phase Shifter
  • Digital Step Attenuator
  • RF Solid State High Power Switch
  • Front End Low Noise Amplifier for Feedback
  • Transmit Solid State Power Amplifier Matrix 4x4, 8x8 or 16x16
  • Ultra Wide Band Flat Panel Antenna
  • Rotary Joint 360 rotation capability
